History Reclaimed. Stories Retold. Theatre Revealed…
The mission of Resilience Productions is to educate, enlighten and engage the public regarding the many unknown and un-celebrated contributions of African Americans to Indiana’s—and ultimately to our country’s—history.
Through poems, short stories, and theater,
Come Sit with Me: Life in Poetry, Prose and Plays poignantly recounts the journey of 81-year-old Dr. Gladys DeVane.
The incredibly moving When This World Was Mine tells the joys, sorrows, and innocence of her young life on her grandparents’ farm with her sibling and cousins.
The Least of Them, is an account of the distressing news that Gladys’ firstborn was severely disabled and in need of institutionalization but also the joy and triumph of his high school graduation, work-life, and living on his own.
