As we prepare for the 2024 presidential elections, we reflect on the remarkable women who shaped our right to vote, from Sojourner Truth to Pauli Murray and Rosa Parks. In this journey, we celebrate their brave stories as well as those of Ketanji Brown Jackson, highlighting how their efforts are part of the broader narrative told in 'Writings the Wrongs' and 'Stories of Monroe.'

We take a closer look at the life of the remarkable feminist heroine Pauli Murray, charting her journey from her teenage years to her golden years as an Episcopal pastor. This exploration is enriched with elements from her writings, including powerful poetry, all while highlighting her influence alongside other iconic figures like Rosa Parks. Interspersed throughout are vivid images from her life, showcasing the inspiring stories of Monroe and how she worked to write the wrongs of injustice.

In October 2023, we return to the interview format with our Host Liz Mitchell, where we delve into the lives of remarkable women like Alice Dunbar Nelson and Frances Harper. In this episode, we’ll explore the intriguing stories of Monroe and discuss the significant contributions these women made, much like Pauli Murray and Rosa Parks. We will also touch on themes of empowerment found in their writings the wrongs, addressing the questions people are most eager to learn about these two very different yet impactful figures.

A reimagining of history where the lives of remarkable women such as Frances Harper, Ida B Wells, and Vivian Fox intersect in Indianapolis, addressing issues of mob violence and race relations, reminiscent of the impactful writings of Pauli Murray and the bold actions of Rosa Parks, illustrating profound Stories of Monroe and the importance of Writing the Wrongs.
