About Us

RESILIENCE PRODUCTIONS was created by Danielle Bruce, Gladys DeVane and Elizabeth Mitchell; three women who believe in the power of storytelling. Conceived in 2016, this dynamic trio researches, writes, and produces original stage plays inspired by actual historical events. These productions are intended to cultivate an awareness as much as to entertain. Through the use of traditional storytelling and complimented by multi-media elements, they depict the hardships and struggles to the triumphs and successes of African Americans, women and the many other discounted populations in United States history. By creatively combating historical erasure, we are recognizing these bold and deserving men and women, ensuring their legacy will not be forgotten.
